The chart shows the year-on-year rise in consumer prices for Norway and the 11 countries in the euro area. The CPI figures for the euro countries are a weighted average of the national CPI figures. The weights used are GDP weights for 1998 from the IMF. The GDP weights are adjusted for differences in purchasing power, on the basis of the IMF's PPP indices for GDP.
