Bankplassen blog
The Bankplassen blog is a venue for knowledge sharing. The main contributors are persons employed by or associated with Norges Bank’s central banking operations.
Norges Bank has maintained offices on Bankplassen (“Bank Square”) in Oslo since 1830. The name Bankplassen also alludes to an open space where opinions and points of view can be exchanged on an ongoing basis.
The aim of the blog is to promote openness and encourage discussion related to the numerous topical issues on which Norges Bank employees work. While the views expressed in blog posts are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily represent those of Norges Bank, it is our view that over time, frank discussions of current topics will contribute towards a deeper insight into these issues and improve decision-making processes.
