Press release in connection with the situation in the US
In the light of the tragic events that took place in the US on Tuesday 11 September, Norges Bank is monitoring financial markets in consultation with participants in the financial industry.
So far, current information indicates that the Norwegian payment system will continue to function smoothly in spite of these events. The Norwegian payment system will be open as usual. Norges Bank will, as usual, provide sufficient krone liquidity to the banking system.
