Assessment of new ISINs that are not already on the list of approved securities is carried out as follows:

Banks or central counterparties pledge a new ISIN in VPS, Euroclear Bank, or Clearstream Banking. New ISINs may then be approved in accordance with the Norges Bank guidelines. Each bank or central counterparty is responsible for ensuring that the securities it pledges as collateral satisfy the requirements outlined in the guidelines for collateral for loans from Norges Bank. If there is a new issuance, please wait to pledge the security until the credit rating has been established, if this is required under the guidelines.

Banks or central counterparties wishing to deposit new asset-backed securities (ABS) or units in securities funds must submit an application for the approval of new securities and attach the relevant documentation.
