Publication of Summary of Committee deliberations
As from the policy rate decision in March 2026, Norges Bank will publish “Summary of Committee deliberations” at the same time as the policy rate decision. The intention is to provide more nuances and details regarding the monetary policy deliberations than has been the case so far, but Committee members’ names will be omitted. The format of the summary will evolve as we gain further experience.
The policy rate forecast will, as previously, be published in the dataset in the Monetary Policy Report and presented in the chart in “Monetary policy statement” at the beginning of the Report. “Monetary policy statement” replaces the previous section “Committee’s assessment” and will provide a brief account of the grounds for the Committee’s decision and an assessment of the monetary policy outlook. The same communication will also be included in the press release.
The next policy rate decision will be published on Thursday 26 March at 10am at norges-bank.no.
