Sæverud is currently a communication officer and speech writer at the Office of the Prime Minister.

“Sæverud possesses a comprehensive understanding of communications, management and Norges Bank’s mission. I am delighted and proud that a person with such extensive experience has accepted to become our new Director of Communications,” says Chief of Staff Ingunn Valvatne.

Sæverud previously served as Director of Communications at the Ministry of Health and Care Services from 2019 to 2023, where her responsibilities included the Ministry’s communication during the pandemic. She has also served as Head of Communications and Markets in the trade union Delta and worked as a journalist with the Norwegian state broadcaster NRK.

Sæverud will take up her position in Norges Bank at a date to be announced later.
