Webinars on the work on alternative NOK reference rates
The ARR working group will host two webinars to present the work that has been done so far this year. The webinars will be held on October 26 and 28.
Reference rates play a critical role in the global financial system. The value of various financial products and loan agreements linked to these rates is very high. In early 2018, a working group on alternative Norwegian kroner reference rates in was established (the ARR working group). The main objective of the group’s work is to establish a reference rate for the Norwegian krone as an alternative to Nibor.
In September 2019, the ARR working group recommended Nowa (Norwegian Overnight Weighted Average) as an alternative Norwegian krone reference rate. The work is now focused on how to transition to using Nowa as a reference rate. The ARR working group invited other market participants into the work and divided the work into two sub-groups: (i) market standards and fallback solutions, and (ii) establishing an overnight index swap (OIS) market in NOK.
The ARR working group has the pleasure of hosting two webinars to present the work that has been done so far this year. Information regarding time, program and registration can be found below.
