About the PhD program
The program aims to help potential PhD candidates in economics in applying to top-ranked PhD programmes abroad, and provide financial support to candidates accepted to such PhD programmes.
Who can apply?
Applicants must be Norwegian citizens or EEA-citizens with affiliation to Norway. Admission to top-ranked PhD programs in economics requires exceptional academic results.
What institutions are eligible?
Applications, educational institutions and PhD programs are independently assessed by Norges Bank Scholarship Committee. The committee consists of three external members.
How to apply
Internships and PhD scholarships are announced via Vacancies on Norges Bank's website.
Application deadline for internships is 1 December each year.
Application deadline for PhD scholarships is 1 April each year.
