In Norges Bank's letter of 3 September 2015, it was stated that the new rules would apply from 11 January 2016. The precondition was that a new system for the posting of banks' collateral for loans from Norges Bank would according to plan be implemented in December 2015 and that the new rules would apply within a short period thereafter. For technical reasons, the implementation of the new system was moved forward to 2016. As a result, the new rules will first apply from 1 March 2016.
