Research Conference on Payment Systems
14 and 15 November 2008
Norges Bank is organising a Research Conference on Payment Systems on Friday and Saturday, November 14-15, 2008.
We have received a large number of high quality papers and believe that the selected conference speakers represent some of the best research available in this area.
In addition to submitted papers there will be keynote addresses by Jean-Charles Rochet, Toulouse School of Economics and by David B. Humphrey, Florida State University. There will also be a brief presentation of an extensive payment survey conducted by Norges Bank. This survey provides estimates of the costs of different payment instruments incurred by retail customers, merchants and the banking industry. Further details on the survey will be released on the Norges Bank web site at the time of the conference.
