Research interests

Øyvind Eitrheim is a Director at Norges Bank Monetary Policy

Eitrheim has been with Norges Bank since January 1984. He has his PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo in 1996. Eitrheim was Director of the research department 2001-2009 and is now organizing Norges Bank's bicentenary project 1816-2016 and international conferences. His research interests lie in the fields of time series econometrics and macroeconometric modelling. His current research focuses on (i) robust monetary policy, (ii) forecasting under model and data uncertainty, (iii) monetary history, and (iv) potential conflicts between price stability and financial stability.
