Academic programme
The objective of the Norges Bank Academic Programme (NBAP) is to promote macroeconomic and financial economic research and education in Norway. NBAP consists of three programmes: PhD Scholarship programme, co-financing for hiring and co-financing of PhD-courses. NBAP is coordinated jointly by the central bank operations and Norges Bank Investment Management.
PhD Scholarship programme
NBAP offers a PhD Scholarship Programme in Macroeconomics and Financial Economics for prospective students at top-ranked international PhD programmes.
Co-financing for hiring
NBAP may co-finance junior professorships in macroeconomics and financial economics at academic institutions in Norway.
Co-financing of PhD-courses
NBAP may fund short (one week) PhD Courses in Monetary and Financial Economics in Norway lectured by international highly rated professors.
Scientific advisory board
The Scientific Advisory Board is an independent committee of internationally renowned professors of macroeconomics and financial economics.
