Dates for meetings of Norges Bank's Executive Board in the second half of 2000

In the second half of 2000, the Executive Board of Norges Bank plans to engage in an extensive discussion of monetary policy every six weeks instead of once a month. Any decisions about interest rate changes or the use of monetary policy instruments will normally be taken at these meetings. Decisions concerning interest rate changes will be announced on the same day at 2 pm.

Norges Bank's Executive Board will discuss the implementation of monetary policy on the following dates in the second half of 2000:

9 August, 20 September, 1 November and 13 December

The dates for meetings in the first half of 2001 will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2000.

Norges Bank publishes an Inflation Report each quarter. The report's projections for the Norwegian economy provide an important basis for the Bank's implementation of monetary policy. Norges Bank's Inflation Report will be published on the following dates in the second half of 2000:
