This document describes how Norges Bank treats personal data received when you visit the Norges Bank website.

Cookies

When you visit Norges Bank's website, cookies are stored as text files on your computer. Cookies are used to generate statistics and to support users, by providing faster access to the website on subsequent visits, for example. A cookie contains no personal data and cannot be used to identify the individual user.

Episerver

The web publishing platform Episerver used by Norges Bank generates a cookie to enable the publishing system to function, and the cookie is deleted from your computer when you close the browser.

Web analysis and statistics

Norges Bank collects data about the usage of its website. This information is used to compile statistics for the purpose of improving the website and the editorial content. Individual users cannot be identified. The Norges Bank website makes use of WebTrends and Google Analytics.

Feedback function

Norges Bank may request feedback via a popup window containing a form or a text box. The feedback submitted is analysed by Norges Bank staff or personnel authorised by Norges Bank and cannot be traced back to you. If you use this function, a cookie will be stored on your computer so that once you have submitted your feedback, the popup window will not appear again. The cookie will not be deleted when you close the browser, but can be removed by going into your browser's settings.

Subscription

You can request an e-mail alert from Norges Bank when new information has been published on the website. In order to receive the e-mail alert, you must register your e-mail address, which will then be stored in a database. This information is only used to send news alerts related to the subjects you have selected. You can remove your e-mail address at any time by clicking on «Subscription» on this website.

RSS alerts

RSS is an abbreviation for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. RSS can be used to subscribe to new information published on this website. You will receive an alert when new information is published on the subjects you have selected via an RSS feed. Norges Bank does not store information about which RSS alerts you subscribe to. You manage your own subscription and can unsubscribe at any time.
