NBA is organised into eight departments:
Legal Department
- The department provides legal advice and deals with the legal aspects of the Bank's entire range of operations, with particular emphasis on central bank legislation and payment and settlement systems, financial instruments and asset management, notes and coins and the Bank's own management.
- The Director reports to the Central Bank Governor and is a member of the Bank's management team.

Communications Department

- Responsible for the translation services.
- The Communications Department answers questions concerning Norges Bank's activities, publications, press conferences and website.
- The Director coordinates all contact with the media. The Director reports to the Central Bank Governor and is a member of the Bank's management team.
